Macromedia Flash Player Installer
For Best Viewing of Bill Stroop's Web Pages
Technology keeps advancing! Some pages on my web sites contain things called Flash media; that is, objects or buttons that change in appearance when you click on them or pass your mouse pointer over them. The program used to create Flash media requires an additional small program in order for you to see them. If you do not install that small program, you will see a box asking you to load a plug-in instead of the flash media. In order to see the flash media, you need to obtain that plug-in, and there are two ways to get it:
- You can follow the instructions in the box to get the plug in. You will be directed to the Macromedia Flash Player 7.0 for Windows site at the Macromedia corporation. This is a safe site. If you choose to go there, you will be directed to load a small program on your computer. Follow the instructions, and the program will be automatically downloaded and installed.
- You can manually obtain the same program by clicking on the blue link below. This will take you to the macromedia site. Click on the "download now" button, and about 2-3 minutes later, their program will put a little icon on your desktop for the flashplayer7installer.exe program. When the download is complete, close the macromedia window (if it remains open), and then click on that desktop icon to launch the flashplayer7installer.exe program. That's all there is to it.
I recommend loading the program because other internet sites may require the macromedia flash player.
