Early
Art of John William Stroop
8 January 2005
Miriam Stroop's grandfather, John W. Stroop was a professional artist. Bill, Miriam's Dad and John's son, has a small notebook of John's original artwork drawn when John was about the same age as Miriam. The drawings shown here were made by John between 1936 and 1940 of objects and subjects in the Milwaukee Wisconsin Museum of Natural History. John died 28 December 2004.
Miriam is an artist in her own right, and it seems clear where a goodly portion of her talent comes from. Please visit Miriam's art page often, since it changes about every three weeks. Archives of her work are also on line.
